Mosquito Misting Product Options

In order to provide effective options for the wide variety of applications, we have selected alternate misting product solutions. These options include Pyrethrum based products and EcoExemt botanical pesticides formulated with plant oils.

Pyrethrum

Pyrethrum is a domestic insecticide used in households, food storage warehouses, animal facilities, factories, and directly applied to domestic and farm animals; garden and indoor plants and controls a wide variety of insects in fruit, vegetable and numerous crops.

Pyrethrum is fast acting with little residual and breaks down rapidly in outdoor environments. It is one of the few insecticides approved for use on organic farms in Europe, the US and Australia.

Pyrethrum is formulated with carrying agents and synergist to enhance its performance and work through the nervous system of the insects and has been used by pest control professionals and veterinarians for many years.Two to three automatic mists per day are recommended with this product with thirty second durations, depending on the season and other environmental conditions.

EcoSmart Botanicals™

EcoSmart’s technology is based on the natural defenses that plants and trees use for their self protection against insects. This product uses proprietary combinations of plant oils such as rosemary, wintergreen and mineral spirits to provide a botanical-based alternative to conventional products.

EcoExempt “Minimum Risk” products target and block a key neurotransmitter receptor site which is found in all invertebrates but not mammals. Because this site regulates the insect’s heart rate, movement, behavior and metabolism there is a total breakdown of the insect’s nervous system.

EcoExempt products are exempt from Federal registration and are USDA National Organic Program (NOP) compliant. Five to six automatic mists per day are recommended with his product with fifteen second durations.
